Incoming Case File- Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer

Updated: 2 days ago

Release Date: March 31, 2025

Episodes: 3

Platform: Netflix

Between 2010 and 2011, investigators found human remains scattered along Ocean Parkway in Suffolk County, Long Island—many belonging to young women from the New York City area who had vanished years earlier. The victims, most of whom worked in the sex industry, were part of a disturbing pattern that pointed to a serial predator. Yet for over a decade, the case stalled.

Now, Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer reopens the file in a new three-part docuseries arriving on Netflix March 31. As first detailed by Tudum by Netflix, the series explores the long-delayed investigation, the societal stigma that slowed it down, and the families who refused to stay silent.

Director Liz Garbus (Lost Girls) told Tudum, “These family members were never going to give up… The system should’ve protected their family members. But at the end of the day, their voices really mattered.”
